So, my friend, remember this: your business is your own, and you have the power to make it shine. Once you grasp this, you'll naturally make better decisions and take the reins of your success.

Ah, the excitement of being offered a spot in a gallery! It's a feeling like no other, right? But don't be like me and let that excitement cloud your judgment. I failed to ask the right questions, and my naivety came back to bite me. I joined a gallery without doing proper research, and while it felt amazing to be in the heart of downtown Raleigh, reality hit hard when I discovered that gallery parking had vanished due to nearby construction.

The takeaway? Never underestimate the power of thorough research and asking questions. Being informed is your secret weapon against disappointment and wasted effort.

Lesson 3: Embrace Failure as Growth

Sure, my gallery experience wasn't a roaring success, but do I regret it? Not a chance! Those challenges were my stepping stones to growth. I learned to wire paintings better, honed my communication skills, and even made a few sales. But here's the real nugget of wisdom: online art sales are the fast track to substantial income. That gallery was a shiny object that momentarily distracted me from the real game-changer – the ability to market my art online and keep all the profits.
