"She is Bold" - Abstract Painting - Mixed Media
30 X 40 X 1 13/16 inch mixed media on deep canvas. She is a wonder and a beauty. It’s hard to pick a favorite part of this painting. I used a lot of various brushstrokes and textures throughout this large canvas. I worked with acrylic, modeling paste, and fine-grain gold glitter. Metallic gold and silver bring in her masculine and feminine energies.
Her gold transitions from matt, to shiny metallic in the light. What’s extra special here is the additional layer of textured gold glitter which felt like sculpting a mini mountain range.
